I understand that a lot of people of all different kinds of ethnic origins are angry at the way white people treated their ancestors / are still treating them.

I had to look up the abbreviation PoC, because I didn’t know what the letters stood for. Until we just think of ourselves as people, or in this United States as “Americans” we will be condemned to identify by what shade our skin is.
I believe prejudice stems from ignorance. It is created by environment. Privileged people do not recognize they are privileged until they become a Stranger in a Strange Land. Take the themes espoused in The Man Who Fell To Earth or Stranger Ina Strange Land which describe the isolation. Or, to a lesser extent, the subtext of the X-Men. Xavier strives fit harmony stressing “if you prick us do we not bleed?” whereas Magneto celebrates the differences. Living where I do changed my ideas, and I am a better person for it. America is an immigrant nation, our diverse cultures make us strong and never weak.
MLK marched in the face of fear to demonstrate we are first Americans one people not a nation of privilege.
